Find/Add New Links - Tutorial
How do I add an individual site to my account/links
pages?
Step 1: Select the Find/Add New Links tab
Step 2: Type the url of the site to be added into the first text box and press the button "Add a single site"
Step 2: Choose method of finding sites (2 options) Option 1: Keyword search Option 2: Sites that link to a URL As an example we will market and create links pages for another Compupower product, the popular eBay auction
sniper software and service "Powersnipe." For this example we will also choose another auction related website called "Andale" which reaches the same target market. We are interested in targeting the same customers as Andale, so we have
type their URL into the "Competitor URL" text box and press
the "Find sites that link to my competition" button. The result
page displays a number of sites and information about the sites. Link Administrator attempts to find the site name, url, and description. This information will be used later when we contact the websites. To have Link Administrator find the web site's email address, press "Get email."
Check the information Link Administrator found and make sure it is accurate for each site you want to contact. This information will be used later to generate the "Links Page" for your web site. Finally, if appropriate, select the category you want to have this website listed under on your "Links Page" and press "Add Link and Send Reciprocation Email." "Add Link and Send Reciprocation Email" generates an email that requests a reciprocal link trade from the website. To generate this email, the information found on the site is combined with an email template. In this case the email template used is the "Request link email" template. Templates can be customized to suit your individual needs. Review this email and make appropriate changes. To send the email and request a reciprocal link trade, press "Send message." This email will be sent to the contact at the corresponding web site and an entry for the web site will appear in the "Manage Active Links" section of your account.
Step 2: Select the "Import tool for existing links pages" link
Step 4: Select the check box of the link you want to put into your account and click "Add selected Entries to Link Pages." The links you import will show up in the "Manage Active Links" section. You also have the option of not adding links the program imports by selecting the check box and clicking the "Delete Selected Entries" button.
